We’ll see. I seem to remember when everyone was saying that the IRL
would never turn a wheel. Now CART is letting them set their
standards and has offered to open up their schedule to 3 IRL races a
year.
It looks to me like CART is trying to grab on to the IRL to keep from
going under themselves.

Pook is playing a cleaver game. He is casting himself up as the flexible
one, whilst TG and the ISC tracks are being cast as the bad guys by not
accepting his flexibility.
The IRL and CART having similar specs will mean more cross over, after all,
would a major US name such as Penzoil be interested in Long Beach ?
How this will all pan out will be interesting, but I don’t believe that
either the IRL or CART will "win" and that either will "die"

One mans art and impression of what he perceives to be the status of Cart.
Looking at the picture, all Cart (Titanic) needed to do was to dump one life
boat (Penske) and one Cap’n (Pook) to head toward a sunny ending!
Pretty simple view of a complicated situation if you ask me, but hey, glad
to see you enjoy comics.
Cart enjoyed a decent weekend in Mexico yesterday racing around the old
factory, the local crowd was jubilant over Fernandez fighting to maintain
his lead early on.
Much more ahead though.

And that old factory is damned scenic. Looks great with a track around it.
