Ex-CART CEO to start IRL Team

From the most trusted source in RASC history champweb.net

"Team Rahal and Honda are close to striking a deal that would see a
2-car IRL effort with drivers Kenny Brack and Shinji Nakano. As we
understand it, Miller Beer will be one of the sponsors and Honda’s
Twin Ring Motegi track another. Miller Beer is owned by Philip Morris
and Roger Penske sits on the board of Philip Morris."

But keeping with champweb tradition it is wrong about Miller being
owned by Phillip Morris.  It was sold to SAB earlier this year.

First Penske now look at it.  It is like a bunch of rats trying to get
off of sinking ship.

"I’d love CART to be a feeder series for F1, My predecessors thought that CART was
an alternative to F1.We fit in somewhere below them.

Best CART magazine?

I want to subscribe to a CART magazine.  Other than RACERS or the CART
website is there something better? …more focus on CART

Acrobat-eBook version would be a definite sale.

Americans in CART for 2003

from www.champweb.net

We were told that there are 4 Americans high on the list of competing in CART next year. They
consist of Alex Gurney, Jimmy Vasser, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Memo Gidley. All have had meetings with
Pook, and Pook is doing all he can to make sure they have rides in CART next year.
